Mulbarton continued their fine of form in 2025, with another confident win against relegated side Scole Res.
Whilst from a neutral perspective a 6-0 victory might seem an enjoyable performance however the scoreline did not reflect the game, with countless chances wasted throughout both halves.
Buttery scored two goals in the first half, while missing several good chances to extend his phenomenal season as league top goal scorer. Burke, Curson and Ireland were also guilty of missing seemingly easy chances to convert with the Scole keeper randomly selected.
HT 2-0.
The second half started more brightly as the opposition tired, Mulbarton continued to dominate possession and create chances and in the same vain as the first, missed a hatful for opportunities.
The introduction of Wooltorton sparked some joy from the right hand side, with two left foot efforts on the edge of the box, to net 11 for the season and boasting an excellent goals per minute ratio. Buttery bagged another two goals to bang four in a match. Extending his goal tally to 24 in just 18 games.
The game finishing as 6-0 victors and the team just requiring a point in the next fixture to seal promotion.
