Who's up for a Senior Cup run then?

The First Team have been handed a tough task in the Second Round of the competition as we prepare to welcome former winners (just the 16 times...) Gorleston to Mulberry Park in what will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.

Tomorrow's game also marks the beginning of Stewart Larter's second spell in charge of the greens and his second visit to Mulberry Park in as many months as he was part of the Waveney management set up that left empty handed at the end of September.

Turning to us for a moment, Thommo and Selfy are looking for a positive reaction after a disappointing result against a hard working Beccles side last Friday. Tomorrow provides the perfect opportunity to bounce back with a positive performance in a game in which many see us as big underdogs against our more illustrious opponents.

One thing for certain is we must improve our recent form in front of goal. Since our flying start to the season, we have only found the net on three occasions in the past three games. We can take positives from the fact we have been consistent in creating plenty of opportunities and hopefully it won't be too long before the net starts to bulge more frequently.

Team News

Danny Bland returns in place of Joel Potter following his run out for the A Team last weekend. He is joined by exciting youth prospect Daegan Watts, who takes the place of Jamie Smith in tomorrow's matchday squad.

Our Opponents

Gorleston apply their trade in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Premier Division (Two divisions above the Anglian Combination) and currently occupy eighth spot in the table after thirteen games. The Greens will be without the services of joint top goalscorer Connor Deeks, who recently departed the club to join Wroxham. They do however have Connor Ingram who has 11 goals in 13 games (29 last season) so he carries the greatest threat to Tom's goal if selected.

Stowmarket Town 1 - 0 Gorleston
