Our end of season presentation was held in a large marquee at Mulberry Park on Friday May 25th.

For the second year running we were entertained by some great fun casino games provided by Kings & Queens Casinos, and everyone was well-fed by Ahmed Spice of Wymondham. Huge thank you to both of those and also to Park Farm Hotel for kindly allowing us to use their table covers for the evening.

The First Team enjoyed great success this season, finishing third in the Eastern Counties Division 1 in their first year at this level. Running the top two teams very close until the final weeks the entire squad and management can be proud of their efforts, especially considering this feat was performed without a player budget.

The award winners were as follows:

Managers' Player - Tom Amis
Players' Player - Mason Roe
Young Player - Mason Roe
Supporters' Player - Mason Roe

The Reserves had a tumultuous season, with two different management teams both having problems with player availability which eventually saw them relegated from Division 4 after finishing 3rd from bottom. The quality in some performances was there to be seen, but a lack of consistency cost the team dearly and hopefully there’ll be an improvement under a new management team in the next campaign.

Award winners:

Managers' Player - Josh Farrow
Players' Player - Reece Ashman
Top Goalscorer - Reece Ashman

In their final season in the Norwich District Sunday League the Sunday side finished 10th, which considering the fact that all their players are under 18 was a credible achievement. Now we look forward to seeing what they achieve in their adult football careers.

Award Winners:

Managers' Player - Rhys Skinner
Players Player' - Jack Wright
Most Improved - Kieran Hall

The Veterans finished runners-up in the Championship, and after being relegated last season they have bounced back to the Premier Division. Good commitment from the squad was a key factor, as well as plenty of goals from a familiar name in these end of season reviews.

Managers' Player - Dan Appleton
Players' Player - Tom Halliwell
Top Goalscorer - Ian Babb

The Michael Grosse Trophy for leading goalscorer of the senior teams was once again awarded to Ben Thompson following his 25 goal haul for the First Team.

The Clubman of the Year award was presented to Tim Hales for his work over-and-beyond on all of our pitches throughout the season. This included a couple of excellent designs on the pitch surround for remembrance weekend and also a charity event held at Mulberry Park between Norfolk Police and Norfolk Fire & Rescue.

There was a new award named after club legend Ken Lewis who sadly passed away this year. This award is for outstanding achievements at the club and was presented by Chris Carter who provided a touching tribute to his great friend before announcing that the first ever winner of the award was Mark “Ed” Sutcliffe who has captained the First Team through their last 6 promotions.

Finally the evening gave us a chance to thank the matchday volunteers who have been unbelievable this season. The success the teams achieved on the pitch would mean nothing if it weren’t for the ladies and gents who ensured that promotions were possible, funds were raised and facilities were up to standard.

Marina, Lucy, Mary, Ray, Kathy, Glen, Jeff, Jack, Mo, Sarah and Duane - we salute you!

Here’s looking forward to another great season!
