The First Team return to home soil tomorrow afternoon as we welcome 10th placed St Andrews to Mulberry Park looking to make it 10 league wins in a row. Wanderers have been in formidable form at home in the league this season and have only conceded 4 goals in 8 home games, keeping 5 clean sheets along the way but the team will not need to be reminded that there is no room for complacency tomorrow as we are aware of the threat posed by our opponents in attacking areas.
Thompson and Self would have been delighted that the team once again showed some bouncebackability following our Mummery Cup exit with a strong victory away at Waveney that lifted us into second place. First half strikes by Woodgate and Thompson sent us on our way and an early second half header by the returning Jack Guyton ensured we took all three points back to Mulbarton. It was great to see Guyts back in action and it was almost as if he hadn't been away as he slotted seamlessly back into the midfield and his goal made it 5 goals in 5 appearances since joining from Hellesdon. If you haven't already then be sure to check out the matchday pictures provided by the brilliant Steve Wood.
There has been news of a departure during the week with confirmation that Jamie George has joined Aylsham FC. The club would like to thank Jam for his efforts in a Wanderers shirt and we wish him well as he seeks pastures new. George made 18 appearances, scored 6 goals, provided one assist and was twice named man of the match in our cup victories over Attleborough Town and Scole United.
Further news from midweek was that our fixtures for the remainder of the season were released by the league so make sure you make note of those dates on your calender to make sure you don't miss out on your local football fix.

Form: LWLWW
St Andrews' trip to Mulberry Park is their third away game in a row and they arrive in good form having registered victories over Stalham Town and Bradenham Wanderers, keeping a clean sheet in both games. Sam Whiting and Ryan Pye grabbed the goals at Hale Road and they have proved to be the main source of goals once again this season with 20 goals between them so far (13 - Whiting, 7 - Pye). The clean sheets should not come as a surprise either as they have the joint second best defensive record in the division alongside Norwich CEYMS (See Below)
