Fresh from racking up another game in hand last weekend, Wanderers return to league action tomorrow afternoon as we prepare to welcome resurgent Stalham Town to Mulberry Park. We have been in great form since our 4-2 victory at Rivers Park at the end of October and Stalham have also seen their form improve after picking up a couple of vital wins against Reepham Town and Caister in recent weeks.
Ben and Danny will be looking for a positive response to our Senior Cup exit and it is important that we keep winning as we continue to chase runaway leaders Harleston Town who are still yet to drop a single point this season. A short trip to Long Stratton will be followed by a home fixture against Blofield United before we break for Christmas and New Year.
Team News
Those of you attending tomorrow will notice a couple of new faces amongst the matchday squad. Midfielder Jack Guyton will be donning a Mulbarton Shirt for the first time following his transfer from Hellesdon and he will be joined by another new signing as we can officially announce that Scott Woodgate has also put pen to paper and joined us from Norwich CBS.
Reverse Fixture | 21st October 2017
Stalham Town 2 - 4 Mulbarton Wanderers
Wanderers fell behind after 23 minutes but Self levelled from a free-kick before Liam Brock grabbed his first goal for Mulbarton to send us into half-time leading 2-1. Town then equalised via the penalty spot before Altay missed a spot kick of our own. A lovely flowing move was then finished by John Curtis and Hayden Gibbons secured all three points late on.
