Friday Night Football returns to Mulberry Park as we prepare to take on promoted Beccles Town under the lights tonight looking to apply some pressure to Harleston and Norwich CEYMS ahead of their games the following day. Non League Day is officially on Saturday but we will be taking part this evening and we are pleased to announce that our under 11's will be ball boys/girls.

Wanderers will once again be able to call on the services of forward Jamie Smith, who returns in place of Adam Brown in the only change to the squad that defeated Waveney last time out. Danny Bland steps up his recovery as he is included in the Reserves squad that travel to Southrepps on Saturday in the Junior Cup.

Our Opponents

You only have to look at our opponents results so far this season to see that there is usually no shortage of goals and they travel to Mulbarton on the back of a 5-1 home victory over Long Stratton. Neil Hurren (5), Robert Bishop (4) and Billy Shaw (3) provide the main threat in front of goal but their defence must tighten up if they are to keep our lively forward line quiet as they are yet to register a clean sheet this season.

2016/17 Stats

Won - 19
Drew - 4
Lost - 5

Mummery Cup - First Round
Suffolk Senior Cup - Third Round

Head to Head

Beccles will be hoping for a repeat of the last time we met at Mulberry Park as they returned to Suffolk with three points following a 3-1 victory back in Division One. Mulbarton on the other hand will be looking to avoid a repeat of the reverse fixture which saw us surrender a 2-0 half-time lead to return home with a single point.

We will be celebrating non league day earlier than everyone else and it would be really nice to see some new faces amongst the familiar ones tomorrow evening. Don't pass up on the opportunity to witness one of the finest sights in football..... the sight of the floodlights reflecting off Danny Self's head. Simply beautiful. Come on Mulbarton!
